The Executive Director of Professions is responsible to lead those in the audience to uniquely restore every profession and workplace with the good news of Jesus. This includes those serving with specific strategies such as the LeaderImpact and Christian Embassy strategies.

Role Responsibilities

  • Recruits, develops and supports a national leadership team (staff and volunteers) capable of developing and achieving the strategic movement goals for the audience.
  • Ensures that all staff are cared for by having supervisors
  • Contextualizes new strategies to maintain a current understanding of the mission, trends, and strategic resources.
  • Communicates these consistently throughout the audience and Cru
  • Champions collaboration within the audience and among the various strategies.
  • Maintains fiscal responsibility through appropriate fundraising and budget control.
  • Champions diversity (ethnic, age and gender) in City
  • Helps to grow cultural competency among city staff
  • Champions the global scope
  • Aligns leaders to the mission and vision of City
  • Partners well both within City as well as within Cru internally.
  • Fosters, promotes and protects an environment which exhibits the best of leadership practice; clarity of goals, empowerment, training, appraisal, recognition and support.

  • Able to lead others to focus on Jesus, lead out of faith dependency, lead from the Word
  • Believes in our Cru Mission and Values, and City Vision and Culture.
  • Humility and desire to keep learning, adapting, and growing as a leader
  • Actively engaged in learning as related to cultural competency
  • Experienced in forming and leading a healthy team
  • Able to cast vision and align team members, partners and donors
  • Holds credibility and a healthy relationship with the broader Cru community

Location: Fully remote (anywhere in the United States)

Pay: This is a self-funded position. Staff at Cru raise their own funds to serve in this position. Rate of pay will be determined by the applicant’s fund raising goals.
