About the Job
Into The Streets is seeking an organized and passionate Access Ambassador with strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a passion for community to support our 2025 event season.
The Access Ambassador plays a key role in helping us run safe, welcoming, well-organized, and fun events. If you are enthusiastic and reliable and enjoy working in a dynamic environment with many different people, this is the team for you! The Access Ambassador will have shifts available for the 2025 season. Please note that being hired as an Access Ambassador does not guarantee assignment. Assignments will be based on availability, interest, and need.
● Job Classification and Compensation:
○ Part-time, temporary, non–exempt employee status $25-$28 / hour, dependent on experience, successful completion of training, demonstration of abilities, and available roles
● Schedule and Term:
○ Regular evening and weekend shifts are required
○ Event and production shifts range from 6-12 hours with unpaid and paid State and Federally-mandated breaks
○ The interview process consists of a 30-minute virtual interview followed by potential follow-up interviews
● Job Duties
○ Being stationed at assigned post until relieved
○ Moving barricades as directed by authority, including Perimeter Manager, Hospitality Manager, and/or SFPD
○ Escorting vehicles to off-street parking
○ Attendee wayfinding & crowd counting
● Candidate Qualifications
○ 1-year minimum of outdoor, large event production experience
○ Capable of physically demanding work, ability to lift 25 lbs, stand for 4 hours; Physical stamina and high energy levels
○ Fluent in English
○ Must have an active email address, mobile phone, and ability to confirm and record shifts online (ideally from a smartphone)
○ Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills
○ Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor; Ability to perform under stress; conflict management skills
○ A deep commitment to Into The Streets’ mission
