As a Junior Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the Learning & Professional Development Team by creating visually appealing and effective designs for events, programs, and other projects. You will work closely with the Senior Designer to hone your creative skills, while also having the opportunity to work on your own projects. This is an entry-level, part-time role. While this position is primarily remote, candidates must have the ability to travel into Janney’s Philadelphia Headquarters up to twice per month.

Responsibilities
- Use Adobe Cloud Suite to create original and templated designs within an established brand aesthetic, building on, complementing, and refining the current look and feel of Janney internal material.
- Work on a variety of projects developing concepts and designs for both print and digital media, including but not limited to: brochures, PowerPoint/Word templates, logo branding, websites graphics, email communications, agendas, certificates, event signage, app graphics, and flyers.
- Create timelines; set and attend meetings as needed; balance and prioritize workload.
- Modify and revise existing designs to meet department needs or to improve design quality, including handouts or collateral, such as fillable forms and one-pagers.
- Continually stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices to ensure that designs are innovative and effective.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a corporate/internal graphic design role is preferred, however, entry-level candidates with a strong design portfolio will also be considered.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word) is required.
- Experience designing both print and digital media with a keen eye for aesthetics and detailed work.
- Ability to take direction and work independently on deliverables as needed; able to manage projects from conception to completion with minimal oversight.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A positive attitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Cvent, PoliteMail, Monday, and Microsoft Teams preferred, but not required.
