About the role:
This is an alternative option for our full-time Compliance Manager role, suited for a specialist with deep compliance expertise who prefers part-time contract work.
Depending on experience level and nature of your specialty, this would be a majority remote role, with the availability to work on-site from our Fort Worth location ~1 day per month.

What you’ll do:
Within your area of expertise (BRC/SQF, food safety, manufacturing, workplace safety, and/or TTB/TABC) monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure organizational policies, practices and records are compliant with relevant requirements.
Develop and implement regular internal auditing and reporting.
- Lead recurring internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, highlighting areas of non-compliance; recommending corrective actions; and working with relevant team leads to ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions.
Expand on our current set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Our operational focus as a company is on systems, processes and documentation, across every team and department. If you can operationalize complexity into a pragmatic, understandable SOP, we’re excited to talk to you.
Document control.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all compliance activities, including SOPs, training, risk assessments, incident investigations, and resolutions.
- Ensure all required documentation is up to date and accessible for audits at all times.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Substantive experience working as a Compliance Manager, with advanced, specialized knowledge in a relevant vertical: food safety (HACCP/BRC/SQF), manufacturing (GMPs/OSHA), or alcohol (TTB/TABC).
- Outstanding, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working remotely, with excellent and proactive communication skills.
- Ability to write, revise and maintain compliance documentation, including SOPs and audit reports.
