>> My name is Alan Gedrich. I'm a partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Stradley Ronon, where I practice investment management law. It's sort of a niche area of the law, but basically what it means is that I represent investment funds of various types, including mutual funds and hedge funds and different investment partnerships that are based here in the US, as well as certain ones that are overseas. A lot of my day revolves around telephone calls, principally conference calls, as well as reviewing documents that come in via email from various clients. So oftentimes what will happen is that, in any one day, I might be working on matters for four or five different clients at the same time. With larger clients that we have, I'll work on a different -- one or more pieces of their overall client needs. Other, with other clients, I'll be very -- and I should also say that I'll be supervising several people in those matters. With smaller clients, a lot of my work will be hands-on, where I'll be doing counseling. Typically because I've been practicing law for 25 years, most of my work doesn't involve drafting documents but rather reviewing those documents that are generated by others, whether those other folks are junior attorneys in my firm or from attorneys or businesspeople that are working at various clients.
