>> My name is Vanessa McGrath, and I am a litigation associate at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a litigation associate I work in a commercial litigation group. So what I mainly work on are suits involving businesses. So whether it be a breach of contract issue or a shareholder's dispute, we focus mostly on helping people with their businesses both very small mom and pop shops or multi-national or even international companies. On a daily basis anything really could happen. You really don't know what you're walking into some days. But mainly what I do is working on a case, you know, determining if there is anything procedurally that we need to do. Analyzing, researching issues that come up in the case or that we might anticipate might come in the case. As an entry-level litigation associate I think one thing you should expect is to work really hard. Not necessary long hours, but you want to put the time that you put in make it quality. I think one thing I'd really recommend is that when someone asks you to do something, you should definitely do it. But also think of ways you can do it better and do it beyond exactly what they're expecting. Because sometimes people don't know exactly the answer to something so you can really impress someone if you go above and beyond and look really deep into an issue and maybe find a solution that wasn't even on the table before.
